Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Meetra ("the App", "we", "our"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Meetra. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately at support@meetra.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Location Data

Meetra collects your device location to show nearby events and relevant people. Specifically:

  • We request location permission when you first open the App. Granting it is optional but required for location-aware features.
  • Your precise location is never stored permanently. We store only a city-level snapshot associated with events you attend or create.
  • Location data is used solely to power features within the App and is never sold to third parties.
  • You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

5. Events and Payments

Meetra facilitates connections between event planners and attendees. We are not a party to any transaction between them. For paid events:

  • Payments are made directly via UPI to the planner's declared UPI ID. Meetra does not hold or process funds.
  • Planners are required to state a refund policy before publishing a paid event. Attendees must review this policy before paying.
  • Refund disputes are between the attendee and the planner. Meetra may assist with mediation but does not guarantee refunds.
  • Community-tier planners (unverified) cannot create paid events. Verified planners must maintain a minimum organiser rating to set high ticket prices.

6. Community Impressions

After events, attendees may leave anonymised peer feedback ("impressions"). These are aggregated and displayed on profiles only after meeting minimum thresholds (5 reviewers across 3 events) to protect against manipulation. You consent to receiving impressions from verified co-attendees of events you attend.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or harmful content.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
  • Use the App for spam, fraud, or illegal activities.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App's infrastructure.
  • Create fake events or manipulate the impression/rating system.

Violations may result in permanent account termination.

8. Intellectual Property

All content you post (photos, descriptions, event details) remains yours. You grant Meetra a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute it within the App. Meetra's own branding, design, and code are our intellectual property.

9. Limitation of Liability

Meetra is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, events you attend or organise, or transactions between users. Our total liability to you shall not exceed ₹1,000.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your public data may remain if it is integral to other users' records (e.g., event history).

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
